Smitizzazioni cortesi, peccati femminili, misoginia in alcuni passi del «Roman de Reinbert»

Abstract

Il saggio si propone di esaminare una sequenza narrativa del «Roman de Reinbert» informata dal motivo T85 Woman mourns dead lover, nella quale a prima vista parrebbero rinvenirsi tracce di ideologia cortese, contrastanti, tuttavia, con quanto già emerso rispetto ad altre sezioni testuali. Attraverso un’indagine duplice che coinvolga anche un ulteriore episodio del roman costruito sfruttando lo stesso motivo narrativo, l’obiettivo è di verificare se non possa invece essere colta sottotraccia un’impostazione misogina congruente con il tenore del resto dell’opera.

Abstract: the essay aims to examine a narrative sequence of the Roman de Reinbert informed

by the motif T85 Woman mourns dead lover, in which apparently traces of courtly
ideology would appear to be found, contrasting, however, with what has already emerged
with respect to other textual sections. By means of a twofold investigation also involving
a further episode of the roman constructed using the same narrative motif, the aim is to
ascertain whether a misogynistic conception congruent with the tenor of the rest of the
work cannot instead be caught in the background.
